Coconut oil constitutes an effective alternative to commercial oral hygiene products containing chemical additives as well as sulphates and fluorides. It does not only prevent decay, but also considerably enhances health condition of the entire mouth and inhibits the growth of the majority of bacterial strains and yeast. It is very important, taking into consideration a “standard diet of our times”: namely, a poor diet consisting mainly from processed food and sugar, establishing perfect conditions for the growth of harmful microorganisms. It is important to use unrefined and cold-pressed coconut oil – it is abundant in nutrients!
You may use coconut oil as hair conditioner before washing your hair. It is sufficient to rub it into dry hair and leave it for about 1 hour, or longer; then wash it off with a gentle shampoo. As it is commonly known, anti-deodorants are composed of various ingredients dangerous to our health, e.g. aluminium and substances blocking/closing pores. We should not forget that majority of us applies it few times a day covering very important lymph nodes under the arms. Lymph nodes constitute a crucial element of the immune system, their task is to filter lymph and produce antibodies. Unsaturated fatty acids
- monounsaturated – oleic acid (Omega-9) – about 6.5%,
- polyunsaturated – linoleic acid (Omega-6) – about 1.5%.
Coconut oil is rich in lauric acid (44-51%) which appears only in coconut milk or breast milk. Lauric acid is responsible for enhancing body’s immunity and famous for its highly strong antibacterial, antivirus and antifungal functions.
