Peanut flour contains valuable vitamins, such as B1 (thiamine), B3 (niacin) as well as is a great source of fibre (8.5 g/ 100 g) and protein (57-60 g / 100 g). It is also rich in minerals, such as: potassium, magnesium, zinc, iron and phosphorus. The flour contains a small amount of carbohydrates (21-25 g / 100 g) and fat (5-9 g / 100 g). It is perfect for those on a low-protein diet, sportspeople as well as for those who reduce carbohydrates in their diet.
Peanut flour can be easily mixed with other types of flour or used on its own. It is a great thickener for sauces and soups. It can be served cold as an addition to oatmeal, fruits, cocktails, smoothies, or heat treated to be used in various types of baked foods, such as: pancakes, bread or cakes. When mixed with a small amount of water, it makes a very nutritious and low-fat peanut butter.
